Abstract
  • By conducting and analyzing the results of a 10-week spiritual formation project based on the Jesus prayer and lectio divina as a Wesleyan means of grace, the author attempted to find out how lay leaders can attain spiritual development and maturity through prayer and the Word. The participants experienced transformation of self through self reflection and deeper encounter with the Lord. Their feedback also suggested a possibility of using the program for small groups. Considering the current situation in Korean churches, the possibility of using the Jesus prayer and lectio divina as practical means for spiritual formation could be expanded.
