Abstract
  • This project was designed to determine the influence of the preached word in motivating members to assume more active roles in the ministries of the historic Mount Zion Baptist Church. The preaching became a catalyst for the members' increased understanding of the content and role of preaching, of their specific responsibilities to engage in ministry themselves. This project also increased the membership's sensitivity and accountability for the current image of the church in the wider community, and for helping to change that image.
