The emphasis of the d/p is on the consideration of the microcomputer as a tool for ministry. The writers provide information and encouragement so that pastors, trustees, and other church leaders can begin to consider the computer as a tool available to them. Part I presents the arguments of several modern observers on the positive and negative impact of technology on humans. Part II is a handbook to help individuals and/or congregations assess the possibility of microcomputers being used as a tool for ministry. The six chapters and five appendices of the handbook present a common sense rationale for using the microcomputer in the local church, an introduction to computers, and a brief list of resources for further study.
