- Abstract
- In light of the rapidly changing worship culture in the evangelical church, this study explored the worship pastor as shepherd leader. A worship pastor has the opportunity to shape the church and strengthen the effectiveness of its mission. First, the shepherd metaphor and shepherd leadership were examined. Second, an exploration of servant leadership and transformational leadership was conducted. Finally, interviews with eight worship pastors were conducted to determine how they perceive their leadership and how they lead. A worship pastor is called to serve and have a heart of worship like David, the man after God's own heart.
