Abstract
  • The purpose of this thesis-project was to investigate the feasibility of the Sabbath as a theological framework for leadership formation. This study was undertaken as an exercise in practical theology, and a 'mutual critical conversation' model was employed. The initial stage of the conversation was a historical, biblical, and theological investigation of the Sabbath. The second stage of the conversation related the thematic elements of the Sabbath to leadership principles. The final stage of the conversation evaluated the Sabbath framework by use of peer review, and the framework was deemed to be thought-provoking and legitimate.
