- Abstract
- The objective was to move the congregation toward being a more multicultural church by transforming attitudes and assumptions regarding prejudice, racism, classism, ageism and the physically and mentally challenged. One workshop and a sermon series were used in the test congregation to transform the church into a more inclusive faith community. The results of the post-test questionnaire showed that attitudes and assumptions of the test congregation have been transformed. The findings indicate that proclamation, leadership and small group discussions are effective means of church transformation, transcending walls and building bridges.
