Abstract
  • The purpose of this project is to guide leaders of a Southern Baptist state convention in the preparation of a language missions strategy design. The thrust of the project is to explore ways to encourage and assist state conventions to do the best strategy planning and implementation they are capable of doing. The design is a mutually accepted document delineating the state convention's approach and plans for language missions work. Interaction took place through regular consultation by telephone, mail and fax correspondence, on-site visits, and national conferences and conventions. As the leaders struggled to identify their God-given vision, the author encouraged them to expand their horizons by considering creative strategies and establishing significant goals. They accepted the challenge to go beyond easy accomplishments and trust the Lord for what seemed to be the impossible.
