- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to reveal the essence of how Filipino missionaries experience life outside of their home country and how they relate it to their preparation for missionary life. The author used a phenomenological approach answering these two questions. Firstly: how do Filipino missionaries describe the effects of their training in terms of their cultural adjustments, spiritual lives, work with teams, and the outcomes of their missionary activities? Secondly: how do they describe their need of further personal and professional training? The result was a composite statement of the Filipino missionary experience in narrative form.
