Abstract
  • The purpose of this ministry project was to lead a congregation to plan for ministry in a changing community. Chapter One offers the project background and research methodology. Chapter Two establishes the project's biblical and theological foundation, by establishing biblical support for planning in ministry, and by demonstrating that God operates with design and purpose in dealing with man. Chapter Three examines three well-known congregational study methods, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each. Chapter Four introduces the Cordova Model for ministry planning and describes the process of implementation of this model at Cordova Baptist. Chapter Five evaluates the work of the Long Range Planning Committee of Cordova Baptist, in conjunction with their pastor, as they worked through the study process.
