Abstract
  • What is the purpose and what are we to do with the sabbath? This thesis examines the sabbath from a biblical and theological perspective, and proposes a model for sabbath keeping as an ascending stairway of trust. Moving intentionally from ritual to rhythm, from rhythm to restfulness, the model enables on to practice glimpsing the heavenly rest through earthly rest.
