Abstract

The author of this paper is currently serving as a director of missions for an association of Southern Baptist churches. The writer developed a training event for pastors on the subject of church growth. The event is based on the assumption that many pastors lack training in church growth. The course of instruction involves an indigenous educational approach in which training occurs in small groups of five to seven pastors in their specific geographical setting. The project focused on helping pastors gain information about church growth, acquire new skills, and develop a heightened mind-set.
