Abstract
  • This project blends relational and proclamational evangelism methods in an evangelistic strategy that is culturally relevant to southern California. Since the goal of evangelism is seen as making disciples, the strategy places heavy emphasis on assimilating new believers into the local church. Ten New Testament principles of evangelism form the basis for evaluating the three case studies as well as providing the theological orientation for the strategy. The three-step strategy takes a chronological approach to the task of local church evangelism. The steps are: cultivation, proclamation, and assimilation.
