Abstract
  • A ministry project was designed to train Southern Baptists to minister to family members of individuals involved in cult movements. The project director led 'Cults and the Family' conferences in three states utilizing materials he produced. Conference participants were pretested and posttested to measure knowledge acquired in the conferences. Postconference and follow-up questionnaires also were submitted to participants. Valid results obtained from two conferences and the control group indicated that the project director succeeded in increasing participants' knowledge of how to minister in these cases.
