Abstract
  • Harmony in the heartland provides theological background on how the arts and the Protestant church in America have grown apart. It also explores the difference between Protestant and Reformed theology, and explores sacramental theology. The author describes a new church's experience with the arts and the implications of that experience. Focused interviews were used in gathering data. While this is written from a United Methodist perspective, its basic content can be easily translated across ecumenical lines.
