Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to equip urban multicultural pastors with strategic planning skills. In a workshop setting participants explored four concepts of strategic planning: 1) shaping direction, 2) inspiring commitment 3) developing supportive relationships, and 4) facilitating change. These concepts were contextualized in a peer-learning cluster and further customized in an individual coaching experience. The Strategic Direction Assessment revealed 87.9% improvement in attitude, 90.9% in knowledge, and 74.4% in skills for this selected group of pastors in the Gulf Stream Baptist Association, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
