Abstract
  • Today's parishes face a number of challenges, including the sharing of pastors, the clustering of parishes, and the decreasing number of vowed religious. As a result, there has been an increase in the number of volunteers who perform ministerial roles once reserved to religious professionals. These volunteers often have not received the spiritual formation of their professional predecessors. Drawing from the U.S.C.C.B. document Co-Workers in the Vineyard of the Lord, the author has created a program of spiritual formation for parish lay volunteers. The intent of this project was to create a program that can be easily duplicated in parishes.
