Abstract
  • This project presupposes that many language congregations have no understanding or appreciation of the denominational identity with which they are formally aligned. It presents a teaching model that is directed towards Chinese language churches in America. The teaching program is designed to be both informational and instructional. It consists of three lengthy seminars. After completing the three seminars, the church leaders involved in the project show varying degrees of acceptance for the role of their denomination. However, the project was very successful as an educational tool.
