This dissertation-project is a manual that may be used by pastors for the preparation of lay leaders for the ministry of local church oversight. Oriented toward a multiple eldership, these lessons are designed to help the potential elder examine the biblical qualifications for elder and determine if he meets these standards. Practical projects are provided which will enable each man to improve his qualifications.
