Abstracto

The purpose of the project was to provide a six-session workshop on interpersonal communication to increase the communication skills of participants. The sessions explored basic models of communication, understanding oneself in the context of communication, developing verbal skills, developing nonverbal skills, and developing listening skills. Two testing instruments were used as pre-tests and post-tests. Test scores indicated a significant increase in interpersonal communication skills. Participant responses on evaluation forms gave additional evidence of the helpfulness of the sessions.
