Abstract
  • This project proposes to empower, economically and spiritually, homeless and addicted African American males through a comprehensive mentoring program that encompasses studies in black history, spiritual principles of stewardship and salvation, and practical workshops focused on stewardship and self-esteem. Only when homeless, addicted African American males know their history, their place in Scripture, principles of stewardship, and their relationship with God will they be able to appropriate knowledge needed for self-employment and entrepreneurship. When these men are equipped as good stewards of their time, tithes, and treasures, they find hope and self-esteem.
