Abstract
  • This project proposes to lead selected church members in developing a strategy for assimilating new members into White Springs Baptist Church. The project designed a curriculum of eight training sessions and five strategy-development sessions. The entire church heard a series of eight sermons on the life and mission of the church. The project studied an experimental group and two control groups, using a pretest and posttest to measure cognitive changes in the groups. Statistical analysis of the tests reported a change in Control Group A and a significant change in the experimental group. The experimental group successfully developed a strategy to be used in assimilating new members.
