- Abstract
- The Adventist church is a vibrant denomination that constantly needs new leadership to accommodate its growing membership. While individuals are eager to lead, the church lacks a clear succession plan or a distinctive process for mentoring and coaching pastors to lead at the various administrative levels of the denomination. Research shows that effective use of rhetoric and communication empowers leaders to become more effective in casting vision and leading people to take the next step. The Project Director undertook to conduct interviews with 20 cutting-edge Adventist leaders and develop a workshop to help prepare pastors for advanced leadership roles.
