Abstract
  • A modern day congregation can, both by careful identification of its own needs and by study of the scriptures, determine what it is like and what it should be like thus laying the foundation for renewal and reform under the guidance of its leaders. The project included a face-to-face interview with most members of the congregation to obtain member responses concerning their own Christian participation and needs, together with their views of the life of the congregation and work of its leadership. All of this was compared with the results of a major biblical study about the church. The result is leading to significant staff and program changes, and congregational satisfaction.
