Abstract
  • The project's thesis is that the most effective way to make a lasting contribution to the health needs of Ghana is to train primary health care workers. Five case studies are included. The author has personally visited several such programs in Ghana and in Nigeria. A step-by-step plan for establishing primary health care centers is discussed. The project concludes with a chapter on evaluation. The wholistic approach is taken in health care delivery. A brief history of medical missions, the African Christian Hospitals Foundation, and the work of Churches of Christ in Ghana introduces the project.
