- Abstract
- The author's thesis is that it is essential for the church to be in mission to its local community. Her method of research utilized a mixed-methods approach to qualitative research and her project was developed based on Michael Jacoby Brown's twelve steps for community organizing. Her theological foundation for this project paper was grounded in the theology of Trinity, incarnation and mission. The entire project was guided by Richard R. Osmer's method of practical theology grounded in a 'wide reflective equilibrium' arising from empirical research, theological engagement, and pragmatic solutions. This resulted in a practical, immediate outreach to community teenagers.
