Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to provide an opportunity for a select group of church members to experience self-awareness, to understand family dynamics and to strengthen relationships with one's self, others, and God. Two tests were administered to the seminar group. The Intrinsic/Extrinsic scale designed by Gordon Allport was given to measure religious orientation. A test designed by Howard Garfinkel was administered to measure the increase in differentiation of self from one's family of origin. There was enough success in each of the pastoral goals to warrant further scientific research.
