  • There is a dearth of publications for adult Christian education for the people of the United Methodist Church in the Eurasian Area, which includes many of the republics of the former Soviet Union. Therefore, the author developed a seminar on traditional Methodist spiritual practices and translated it into Russian. In the course of the work on the seminar and delivery of it, the author spent time in Russia and in the United States consulting with pastors, academics and lay people who serve, or who work with the people of the United Methodist Church in the Eurasian Area. The author then made the materials available in hard copy, through the internet, and through a PowerPoint presentation on CDs.
