- This project concerns the care a pastor can give to parishioners who have genuine feelings of loss as they see their local congregation statistically declining in membership and attendance. Listening to the concerns of parishioners of the author's congregation, Washington Street United Methodist Church of Tiffin, Ohio, expressing their feelings of loss, the author attempted to build up the morale of the people. Through pastoral counseling and through program planning he extended pastoral care to such parishioners with the objective of enabling them to deal with their feelings of loss and to have a vision of what their church can do in mission.
