  • The dissertation briefly reviews the history of the beginnings of New South Wales, Australia, and the growth of the church in the central west of the state. The project then comments upon Australian cultural traits and analyzes a survey circulated in the presbytery of the central west aimed at discovering what people think about shared ministries. Theological reflection analyzes ministry in a secular society and is illustrated by pen pictures and case studies. A theology of ministry based on form and function is discussed whereby the three-fold form of koinonia, diakonia, and oikonomia are expressed through witness and proclamation, teaching, fellowship, discernment, and celebration.
