Abstract
  • The project explored three basic questions: what are congregations actually doing to learn about environmental stewardship, celebrate creation, and care for the environment? Are there significant correlations between the amount of study or the presence of a creation care team and the number of action steps taken? What are the biggest obstacles to learning more or taking more steps? The exploration was accomplished through a survey of 97 congregations in the Bloomington, Minnesota are and 108 members of the Episcopal Ecological Network. The author also offers an extensive exploration of theological streams churches can draw on to support creation care.
