Abstract
  • This project proposes that God transforms homeless men spiritually through an experience of community, bringing them out of isolation and alienation and into healthy relationships, testing this thesis through interviews with six residents of Fort Wayne Rescue Mission. The project administers the internalized Shame Scale to Mission residents in order to identify past and present shame issues. By establishing a healthy, non-shaming environment, the Mission can aid homeless men to healing of their crippling shame.
