Abstract
  • The challenge facing the two distinct congregations of the Shepherdstown Lutheran Parish in their attempt to revitalize their ministry and mission together begins with a transformational understanding of the communion of saints both individually and corporately. The theological principal undergirding this study maintains that the church of Jesus Christ must be a communion of saints, working as partners, as they witness to God's grace. This study examines how understanding their identity as a communion of saints will transform and revitalize their ministry and mission together. The most important outcome of this study is that any attempt at revitalization begins with a personal transformation as one in the communion of saints.
