Abstract
  • This thesis-project focused on the worldview and felt needs of Lebanese Shiite women in Beirut. It includes a definition of worldview and a brief overview of the history, theology, and religious practices of Shiite Muslims. The research was conducted through an ethnological approach using life history interviews of six women. A goal was to consider the women's orthodoxy as compared to orthodox Shiite doctrine. Implications for the evangelization of Lebanese Shiite women were also considered. The final chapter includes strategies for reaching Shiite women with the gospel of Christ.
