Abstract
  • The project developed and evaluated a model of spiritual formation for clergy couples which promotes fruitfulness and longevity in ministry without sacrificing the priority of marriage and family. The model weds biblical priorities and spiritual formation tools to the process of self-directed learning (Richard Boyatzis). Both pastors and experts in counseling and ministerial training evaluated the model. Marriage and ministry connections were seen as serious and the model was found to be helpful in engendering hope for permanent change and as an aid to longevity and fruitfulness in ministry.
