Abstract
  • This project focused on researching the biblical elements of the nature and function of the church and developing a Spiritual Growth Assessment Instrument to measure spiritual growth in the local church. A unique element of the developed assessment instrument was the identification of spiritual growth within the context of the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains of competency. The resulting assessment instrument was piloted at Forest Hill Baptist Church, Longview, Texas. The results indicated that spiritual growth can be identified, measured, and targeted for improvement through specific implementation strategies.
