To 'do the work of an evangelist' is a clear and definitive admonition of Holy Scripture. The initial charge given by Jesus to his first-century disciples at the time of his Ascension continues into the twenty-first century. Nor has the mandate lost its urgency. Evangelism - or sharing the saving message of Jesus Christ with a lost world - is the responsibility of the children of God. This project centers on a variety of evangelism methods to accommodate ethnically diverse, different denominations, and homogenous churches in the predominantly rural Durant, Mississippi region.
