Abstract
  • The purpose of this dissertation was to examine the following assumptions about peer ministry: 1) all baptized Christians are called to ministry; 2) the most effective and efficient persuasion and support for ministry occurs among peers; and 3) that newly married young adult couples within the St John's Methodist Church parish area will respond to an opportunity for appropriate support groups of their peers in Christian ministry. The key to success in this ministry is to find the right combination of basic procedures and sophisticated procedures that correctly reflects the needs of the group.
