Abstrakt

The author's reason for writing this dissertation considering, realistically, the situation facing the Church of England at the end of the twentieth century, can we discover a key factor that can provide both foundation and encouragement for pastors as they face what looks like a bleak future? Points to consider are the authority of the Bible and the way Elders/Bishops are used as an instrument in exercising that authority within the body of Christ.
