Abstract
  • The author helped a church that had experienced twenty years of conflict and apathy. The project researched and used intentional interim and conflict resolution methods. It included interviews with most members of the congregation, seminar training, and a weekend planning retreat. Issues of change and power were encountered. Research focused on conflict resolution sytles in the biblical narrative. The project was written in modified case study format. The project defends collaboration as a viable style of conflict management in churches, and provides valuable insights into the dynamics of long-lived conflict in church groups.
