- The purpose of this project was to establish a volunteer chaplaincy program for the Drumright Memorial Hospital. The four phases of the project involved designing a program that met the discovered needs of the hospital, enlisting volunteer clergy, training volunteer clergy, and implementing the program utilizing trained volunteer clergy. Demographic studies of the community and patient surveys determined the design of the program. Personal enlistment of ministers was done and a training program was designed to introduce the participants to basic pastoral care in the hospital setting. The program is fully operational, providing twenty-four hour coverage.
