- Abstract
- This project investigates and analyzes use of homilies to reduce levels of stress among members of a local congregation of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. The project exposes church members to six sermons discussing stress-related issues within a biblical paradigm that offers points of vicarious involvement. Through these points of identification individuals are challenged to reexamine their pasts, assess offenses committed, and resolve them through confession. Evaluation finds progress among members toward resolution of unforgiven offenses and healing of relationships.
