Abstract
  • This project enables deacons of South Lindsay Baptist Church (Oklahoma City) to identify their spiritual gifts and to express them meaningfully through deacon teams based on five functions of a New Testament church: worship, ministry, fellowship, discipleship, and evangelism. The deacon teams, giving specific expression to individual gifts in communal effort, produce balanced growth among the deacons and the entire congregation. Spiritual leaders emerge and contribute to the overall health and strength of the church body.
