Abstrakt

The central question of this project is: Can you take a moribund institutional church structure, which is composed of small neighborhood groupings, and inject new life and direction into these groupings by training lay leadership in intentional caring?...The format involved a nine week program with weekly, two-hour meetings. It was a presentation-discussion model using materials: Growth Counseling, Part II, Coping Constructively with Crises, by Howard J. Clinebell, Jr., The Intensive Care Unit, by Danny E. Morris, and Called to Care, by Chester Custer.
