Abstract
  • Expository preaching through books of the Bible is a valid option for theologically trained or lay preachers in any culture. The preacher who carefully and logically studies the vernacular text can produce effective biblical expositions even when the original languages cannot be consulted or effectively used. This philosophy and methodology was taught and practiced in the Baptist Theological College of Sao Paulo, Brazil, for more than ten years. Students saw That when they were convinced in a practical way the Bible is true, and studied its texts gramatically, inductively, and dynamically, they could produce a spiritually valid series of biblical expositions.
