Abstrakt

The goal of this project was to develop the relational aspect of biblical discipleship within Forward Baptist Church, Cambridge, Ontario. Questionnaires were sent to 34 churches, groups, or individuals around the world, who were involved in a small group ministry. Out of this research, several convictions grew which gave direction to our approach. The necessity of building discipleship of a corporate nature caused us to investigate the level of desire among previously 'discipled' people in the church. A Leadership Training Group Manual and two leadership training groups were developed. Nine couples and one individual were equipped for this ministry. Supervision of the growth group network, an integral part of the development, was achieved through regular evaluations of the growth group, and regular meetings with the growth group leaders.
