Abstract
  • This dissertation first supports the notion that the primary task of the church, and of its worship, is to carry the work of evangelism. From this, a distinction between the forms of worship and the substance of worship is offered. Following this distinction, new forms are suggested for worship. Finally, the psychology of change is presented, with strategies offered. Research is primarily through books contained in bibliography. The results are used to prepare a four-session retreat to enable church leaders to lead the congregation through the suggested changes in worship.
