- Abstract
- This thesis demonstrates that sermons can be written in a form and spirit that is consistent with the form and spirit of the scriptural text from which the sermons are taken. Four sermons based upon parables from Luke's travel narrative were written and preached in a 'form consistent' fashion. Members of a response team listened to the sermons, completed questionnaires, and discussed the value of each sermon in the project. Their conclusions affirm the value of using the parables of Jesus as a paradigm for preaching.
