Abstract
  • This project employs historical-critical method to explore the centrality of jubilee in the teaching of Jesus and literary method to examine parable as an appropriate rhetoric for preaching Jubilee. The rhetoric of parable is the application of poiesis to prose narrative. By applying intertextuality, ellipsis, polysemy, and symbolic action, a preacher gains access to imagination.
