- The report describes the development of adult Christian education in a 1200-member, small town church during 1978-1980. The project is based on theoretical foundation of Bible, theology, history and the social sciences of organizational development and education. Successful, innovative programs in other churches are examined. A detailed account of the project describes efforts resulting in significant increases in participation due to: using systems analysis; developing an adult Christian education council; addressing people's needs and interests; providing a variety of programs and motivational approaches; teaching both rational and intuitive sides of the brain; and involving the ministers in teaching.
