Abstract
  • This project studies the theological and biblical framework for managing conflict among pastoral staffs. The purpose of the study is to develop a crisis consultation model to be used by a third party consultant. The areas of research include: conflict and conflict management in the church; multiple staff ministry; collaborative ministry versus hierarchical ministry; crisis with a third party consultant. Two case studies are conducted with follow-up interviews. The two pastoral staffs that are studied indicate a greater receptivity to dealing with conflict. Openness and better communication are the result. The study is conducted in churches with Presbyterian polity.
